NF is a food, to protect specifically to the kidneys. It is used in cases where a decline in kidney function in cats and should show some degree of kidney disease at fed.
Nutro Natural Choice is more than sufficient for a diet against elderly cat.
If your veterinarian recommends, NF, then it is likely that your cat is a degree of loss of kidney function and would do more to cultivate long-term health of your cat to continue to feed the special diet for nutritional change on the counter. There are other options to adjust the situation, but also of statute of limitations. Science Diet K / D diet or Iams multicellular kidney are comparable. All handicaps are not comparable, because in general must be designed for healthy cats in the fight against the plans.
Think of it as Tylenol darvocet vs following a broken leg.
Nutro Senior = Tylenol
NF = darvocet
Your cat has a specific problem can be addressed by diand - believe it is a day for a delicious medicine, and not in May as the costs seem high.
Purina is behind in the current study of renal failure. The man was a little more protein, but the cats in general, to no avail. On the way to a high protein but low fat diet, low in carbohydrates and low-level, the cats do much better, and drink extra water to promote more. How far away from dry food is important.
You can compare, canned (dry) foods next to "Google" Janet "and the list of Binkey's." Information is the best technique I have not seen.
No, the NC diet very, very quiet low in protein, not to mention a limitation of food. If your veterinarian has prescribed NF should continue (but not much better than the systems eat Purina NF)
All canned food with no corn, wheat, soybeans and colors should be good. High consumption of water contributes to the condition. Plus which medication your veterinarian has prescribed.
